Me at Chapters Oakville Book Signing. Photo by Scott Stewart from North Oakville Today

This was my very first book signing and I did not know what to expect. I chose to have fun, be in the moment and learn all I could!

The staff welcomed me warmly, explained the routine and left me to meet their customers.

I sold my very first book to a young mom, who wanted to use it as a discussion tool for her son who is going away to university.

He told me that he has taken a psychology course in business and really enjoyed it. Understanding human behaviour is a wonderful educational tool to have in any discipline, from business to social work.

Young parents of elementary school age bought it to read to their children.

A prison guard bought the book to use in his weekly wisdom workshop.

Two young women simply put the book in their purses for a later use…when they needed to make decisions.

Many young men bought the books as perfect gifts for their girl friends.

Staff bought the book as an aid to dealing with difficult people.

Many bought the books as references to remind them to stay positive.

I was amazed to learn the many reasons why people bought the book.

Every discussion was an education for me.

Chapters Oakville Book Signing

This is truly a wonderful adventure. I am meeting so many special people and learning and observing. I am gathering alot of material for all my lectures and gaining research for my second book.
